Following her national victory, Mahrou Ahmadi was officially appointed as Miss Earth Iran 2022, becoming the second representative of Iran in the history of the Miss Earth platform. Her participation marked a significant step forward for Iran’s presence in one of the world’s leading environmental pageants. Unlike the previous year, which was held virtually, the 2022 edition of Miss Earth returned to a full in-person format and took place in the Philippines, gathering contestants from more than 80 countries. This provided Mahrou with a global stage to represent both Iranian culture and environmental advocacy.

During the competition period, Mahrou engaged in a series of official pre-pageant activities, including environmental presentations, national costume showcases, and advocacy campaigns focused on sustainability and ecological awareness. Her personal advocacy centered on promoting organic, cruelty-free products and encouraging environmentally responsible consumer behavior. She emphasized the importance of protecting nature and integrating sustainable practices into everyday life, aligning with the core mission of the Miss Earth organization.

A key highlight of her participation was her visual presentation, including her national costume and styling. Her designs were created in collaboration with Zaha Fashion, reflecting a modern interpretation of Iranian identity while aligning with the environmental theme of the competition. Her overall presentation combined elegance with symbolic messaging, reinforcing both cultural pride and ecological awareness.

Throughout the competition, Mahrou also used her platform to voice support for Iranian women, particularly during a period of heightened global attention on social issues in Iran. She positioned herself not only as a contestant but also as a representative voice, stating her intention to advocate for women and bring international awareness to their experiences.

Although Mahrou Ahmadi did not place among the finalists at Miss Earth 2022, her participation was widely regarded as a meaningful milestone. She represented Iran during the first fully live edition of the pageant for the country and contributed to strengthening Iran’s presence in international beauty competitions. Her journey combined environmental advocacy, cultural representation, and social messaging, making her participation a notable chapter in the evolving history of Iranian pageantry.

نمایندگی ایران در صحنه جهانی محیط‌زیست

پس از کسب عنوان ملی، مهرو احمدی به عنوان میس ارث ایران ۱۴۰۱ به طور رسمی معرفی شد و به عنوان دومین نماینده ایران در تاریخ رقابت‌های میس ارث انتخاب گردید. حضور او در این رقابت، گامی مهم در جهت حضور ایران در یکی از معتبرترین مسابقات بین‌المللی با محوریت محیط‌زیست محسوب می‌شود. برخلاف سال‌های گذشته که این رقابت به صورت مجازی برگزار شده بود، دوره ۱۴۰۱ به شکل حضوری در کشور فیلیپین برگزار شد و شرکت‌کنندگانی از بیش از ۸۰ کشور جهان در آن حضور داشتند. این موضوع فرصتی بین‌المللی برای مهرو فراهم کرد تا هم فرهنگ ایرانی و هم پیام‌های زیست‌محیطی خود را در سطح جهانی ارائه دهد.

در طول دوره مسابقه، مهرو در مجموعه‌ای از فعالیت‌های رسمی پیش از فینال شرکت کرد که شامل ارائه پروژه‌های محیط‌زیستی، معرفی لباس ملی و کمپین‌های آگاهی‌بخشی درباره پایداری و حفاظت از محیط‌زیست بود. محور اصلی فعالیت‌های او، ترویج محصولات ارگانیک و بدون آسیب به حیوانات و همچنین تشویق به مصرف مسئولانه و سازگار با طبیعت بود. او بر اهمیت حفاظت از طبیعت تأکید داشت و تلاش می‌کرد سبک زندگی پایدار را به عنوان بخشی از زندگی روزمره معرفی کند؛ مفهومی که با اهداف اصلی رقابت میس ارث هم‌راستا بود.

یکی از بخش‌های مهم حضور او، ارائه لباس ملی و استایل رسمی در رقابت بود که با همکاری برند زها فشن طراحی شد. این طراحی، تلفیقی مدرن از هویت ایرانی با رویکردی همسو با پیام‌های محیط‌زیستی مسابقه را نشان می‌داد و در عین سادگی، دارای پیام نمادین و مفهومی بود.

در طول این رقابت، مهرو همچنین از فرصت حضور خود برای بیان حمایت از زنان ایرانی استفاده کرد، به‌ویژه در دوره‌ای که توجه جهانی به مسائل اجتماعی ایران افزایش یافته بود. او خود را نه تنها یک شرکت‌کننده، بلکه صدای نمایندگی زنان معرفی کرد و بر لزوم آگاهی جهانی نسبت به وضعیت آنان تأکید داشت.
