From Earth to Aura: Mahrou Ahmadi’s Journey in International Pageantry

Participation in beauty pageants can create meaningful opportunities for personal growth, social impact, and international representation. For some contestants, this journey continues across multiple platforms, allowing them to pursue advocacy, cultural representation, and professional ambitions. Mahrou Ahmadi is among the Iranian women who embraced this path. Crowned Miss Earth Iran 2022, she represented Iran at the Miss Earth competition in Manila, Philippines, on November 29, 2023. The following year, she continued her international presence by competing for the title of Miss Aura Iran 2023.

Born in 1998 in Iran, Mahrou studied herbal medicine and medical sciences, driven from childhood by a desire to help patients and serve the healthcare community. She has supported charitable initiatives for children with cancer in Iran and later pursued pharmacy studies at Istanbul University of Health Sciences. Fluent in Persian, Turkish, English, and Arabic, she is passionate about connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Modeling, which she began in 2015, remains one of her primary interests, alongside maintaining an active lifestyle that includes skating, swimming, skiing, volleyball, water polo, and dance.

A highlight of her pageant journey was her national costume, designed by Elahe Alipoor, inspired by the interior of the Nasir al-Mulk Mosque in Shiraz. Drawing from Qajar-era and post-Islamic architecture, the design incorporated elements of traditional Persian Orosi windows, symbolizing harmony through colored light. Wooden shoulder structures adorned with vibrant stones reflected prayer beads and spirituality, while Iranian blue tones and floral tile motifs captured the elegance of Islamic art and architecture.

The national directors of Miss Aura Iran are Dr. Hima Zaker, Miss Iran 2021 and Miss Earth Iran 2021, and Mrs. Shadi Osmani, Miss Iran 2014 and Miss Grand Iran 2015, both of whom have played significant roles in mentoring Iranian representatives internationally. Following her pageant experiences, Mahrou moved to the United States to continue her education, where she later married an Iranian man, beginning a new chapter in her personal and professional life.

از زمین تا آئورا: مسیر مهرو احمدی در رقابت‌های بین‌المللی

شرکت در مسابقات زیبایی می‌تواند فرصت‌هایی ارزشمند برای رشد فردی، فعالیت اجتماعی و حضور در عرصه بین‌المللی فراهم کند. برای برخی شرکت‌کنندگان، این مسیر در چندین پلتفرم ادامه می‌یابد و امکان پیگیری اهداف فرهنگی و حرفه‌ای را فراهم می‌کند. مهرو احمدی از جمله زنان ایرانی است که این مسیر را دنبال کرد. او با عنوان «میس ارث ایران ۲۰۲۲» نماینده ایران در مسابقات میس ارث در مانیل فیلیپین در تاریخ ۲۹ نوامبر ۲۰۲۳ بود و سال بعد نیز با حضور در رقابت «میس آئورا ایران ۲۰۲۳» فعالیت بین‌المللی خود را ادامه داد.

مهرو متولد ۱۹۹۸ در ایران است و در رشته طب گیاهی و علوم پزشکی تحصیل کرده است. او از کودکی علاقه‌مند به حوزه درمان بود و در فعالیت‌های خیریه مرتبط با کودکان مبتلا به سرطان در ایران مشارکت داشته است. وی سپس تحصیل در رشته داروسازی را در دانشگاه علوم سلامت استانبول ادامه داد. مهرو به زبان‌های فارسی، ترکی، انگلیسی و عربی مسلط است و از سال ۲۰۱۵ وارد عرصه مدلینگ شده است. فعالیت‌های ورزشی همچون اسکیت، شنا، اسکی، والیبال، واترپلو و رقص بخشی از سبک زندگی فعال او را تشکیل می‌دهد.

یکی از بخش‌های شاخص حضور او، لباس ملی طراحی‌شده توسط الهه علیپور بود که با الهام از فضای داخلی مسجد نصیرالملک شیراز طراحی شد. این لباس با بهره‌گیری از عناصر معماری دوره قاجار و هنر پس از اسلام، از پنجره‌های اُرُسی ایرانی الهام گرفته بود که نماد هماهنگی نور و رنگ هستند. ساختار چوبی شانه‌ها با سنگ‌های رنگی یادآور تسبیح و نماد معنویت بود و استفاده از رنگ آبی ایرانی در کنار نقوش کاشی‌کاری، شکوه معماری اسلامی را به تصویر می‌کشید.

مدیریت ملی میس آئورا ایران بر عهده دکتر هیما ذاکر، میس ایران ۲۰۲۱ و میس ارث ایران ۲۰۲۱، و خانم شادی عثمانی، میس ایران ۲۰۱۴ و میس گرند ایران ۲۰۱۵ است که در هدایت نمایندگان ایرانی در عرصه بین‌المللی نقش مؤثری داشته‌اند. مهرو پس از تجربه‌های مسابقاتی خود به ایالات متحده آمریکا مهاجرت کرد تا ادامه تحصیل دهد و در این مسیر با یک مرد ایرانی ازدواج کرد و فصل تازه‌ای از زندگی خود را آغاز نمود.
