The Miss Iran 2017 competition was conducted through an online selection format via Facebook and Instagram, where hundreds of applicants registered each year. From this large pool of candidates, only the top 10 finalists were selected to participate in the official program. Each finalist submitted a written introduction along with a selection of photographs for publication. The judging panel at IMAJH Ltd. (Queens of Persia Organization) then conducted interviews with the most successful candidates before selecting the final winners.

Setareh Tabatabaei was crowned Miss Iran 2017. She was born in 1995 in Tehran, Iran. She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and has worked as a national production staff member. Her personal interests include modeling, ballet, yoga, and playing the violin at a professional level. She is also passionate about meeting people from different cultures and learning new languages. She is fluent in Persian, English, and French. In addition, she has supported several charitable initiatives in Tehran and has expressed a long-term ambition to establish her own charity organization to help those in need.

Setareh has described her participation in the Miss Iran competition as a meaningful personal experience and an opportunity for self-expression and visibility. Through this platform, she aimed to present aspects of Iranian women’s talent, discipline, and creativity.
